Stress and Pain

August 13, 2008

Came back from Mission Texas on Monday. While I was there my best friend Lebby we did two demonstration groups. At the demonstrations we ask for volunteers who are over stressed and work with them to take it away.

There was a woman in her eighties who was all stressed out because she was not able to move her right hand. She could not open a bottle of soda or open the car door. She also was having trouble breathing without coughing. She described some type of bubbles of air in her stomach.

The demonstrations always begin with a balance session with the bowls. Its always more powerful to have many people playing the bowls than just myself. The balance sessions open the mind/body connectioon and people begin to perceive the world from their right brain i.e. a non linear approach.

I then worked on her and a few other people. We were using the tibetan bowls, crystal bowls, didgeridoo, and the laser(on the product page). The red light of the laser takes away pain.

She looked very stressed out as we began and quite skeptical. As we did a number of rounds of bowl playing and chanting she began to smile. My perception was that she was relaxing and when she allowed the stress to leave her body the pain would go also.

By the end of the evening she was smiling broadly and showed us all her hand. She had total movement and was breathing withou the bubbles. What an accomplishment for her.

And I discovered the general rule for stress relief. I will probably run some tele-classes around this
subject after labor day. If you are interested please let me know.
