About
Ira Dressner, PCC, is an Energy Coach , and ADHD Coach. He started coaching in 1998 and has been involved in the International Coach Federation for ten years. He has formal coach training at three coaching schools including the ADD Academy and Coaches Training Institute.
His father, Sam Dressner, was instrumental in encouraging me to begin coaching. Sam believed I was a natural at coaching having watched me working with him for over twenty years at the time. He allowed me to practice some of the energy techniques with him and especially enjoyed the times I did the stress relief sessions with the Tibetan Bowl. He would go inside and when the sound stream was over he just lite up and looked wonderful. I miss my dear father every day of my life. He is my inspiration on being an entrepreneur and a fine person
Since 2003 he developed his own techniques and has his own technique called the mixed multitude and “team you”. He utilizes the mind/body/spiritual connection in coaching. In 2003 he was walking through a street fair and found the Tibetan Bowls. The Tibetan/Crystal bowls open a portal or doorway to the mind/body connection.
In his early professional life he was an Assistant Professor, teaching Political Science and Public Administration at Seton Hall a University in New Jersey. He moved from teaching to the private sector after teaching for five years. During this time period he earned an MPA and Ph.D. in Public Administration.
He became an entrepreneur and is at present involved in three businesses. He has given seminars, trainings and balance sessions demonstrating the mind/body connection.
He began coach training in 1998 and was the founder and first President of the NYC Chapter of the International Coach Federation. He currently has the credential of Professional Certified Coach from the ICF.
Dressner served from 2002-2006 as the Chapter Chair for all ICF coaching chapters. From 2006 to 2008 he has been on the Global Board of Directors.
Until May 2003, he was a life coach and personal coach. In May 2003 he had a spiritual experience that changed his life and profession. Recently he has been calling himself an energy coach as well as a spiritual coach working with people who experienced physical pain, pain of the heart, and pain of the spirit. Recently he has also developed an expertise in working with people who are over-stressed and writes about stress and anxiety in this blog.
